Rock springs is an excellent site to snorkel.  The source of the spring comes out of a large rock formation, both in and out of the water.  A grating prevents you from climbing in the dry part of the cave, but it can be easily bypassed by swimming underneath it.  Rocks springs run (right) is the best free-floating snorkel I've been in.. The current takes you swiftly downstream (no kicking required)  for 3/4 mile to the end. The water is very clear and full of fish life the entire ride down.  Rock Springs is located in Kelly Park and has excellent camping areas.  Depths
are about 3 ft in the run and 8 ft in the deepest part.
Scuba Diving is not allowed nor needed.
